How to add a report entry

Adding a report entry is the heart of the GCP Progress system! Let's get started with impact measurment by creating our first report:

  • On the Farm screen tap on "Add report" (+):

  • Choose the report type you want to add. Currently you can choose between the following reporting options:
    • Farm Visit only,
    • NSC Questionnaire only
    • Farm Visit + NSC Questionnaire
  • For your first report we recommend to start with Farm Visit + NSC Questionnaire. This report contains more questions and details, but it results in a great snapshot of your farming practices and environment. Once you filled in this questionnaire for the first time, you can keep track on changes of all aspects for sustainable coffee farming in your production practices and plot information (Size, tree numbers, tree varieties, other crops, intercropping, plot count etc.) with each additional report.
  • Once you have chosen your report type, all related sections will appear on your screen.
  • By tapping a section, it will expand and lead you through the questionnaire.
  • Please note: For any button you find with "ADD ENTRY"    or , please remember the following:
    • ADD ENTRY always counts for one type of entry you want to add. Examples:
    • Section "People" -> ADD ENTRY: each entry represents ONE Household member. So for each household member you will have to add another entry.
    • Section "Plots" -> ADD ENTRY: each entry represents ONE plot. So for each additional plot you have to add new entry
    • Section "Production" - Question: "Inputs for agriculture" -> ADD ENTRY: Each entry represents ONE type of input. For each other input type you will have to add a new entry.

Exceptions:

Labor cost & Off-Farm income: These indicators always ask for the information of the last 12 months as a total.

Some NSC questions are also asking for other timeframes, but in these cases it is stated in the question separately.

Advice for self-reporters and data collectors:

While collecting/reporting on your practices and environment, please read the questions and the help texts carefully to clearly understand, what kind of information is asked. We do our best to keep the questions simple and provide as much help text as possible.
